Child Compassion Challenge (CCC)
not only provides desperately needed funds for needy children,
it also allows those concerned about the environment to do their
part to recycle.
Both individuals and businesses at home or in the office, use
inkjet and laser cartridges in printers, as well as, discarded
cell phones. Millions of these cartridges and cell phones are
consumed and disposed of in landfills each year. This not only
magnifies a growing environmental problem, but also ignores a
financial opportunity. The fact is, these empty cartridges and
discarded cell phones have an intrinsic market value in the
recycling community. Throwing them away is the same as throwing
away money. Child Compassion Challenge, an innovative missions
funding program, captures this opportunity and redirects these
valuable funds. "What the world throws away, we can
recycle to redeem the life of a child." says Lillian
Sparks, former National Director of Assemblies of God Women's
Ministries.
